From the editor
Our favourite coffee in Dubai isn't in the malls. It's in warehouses in Al Quoz, on side streets in Jumeirah 1 and Al Safa, in rooms where the roaster sits in plain sight.
Three of the four rooms in our first coffee guide are the first of something here: the UAE's first Bellwether roaster at Kairos, Subko's first home outside India, ONA's first café outside Australia. The fourth, Cherry House, runs its beans across the room on an overhead belt.
We name one thing to order at each, and the price where the café publishes one. Where it doesn't, we say so.
