Design Week is the one week a year when d3 is worth the drive for people who don't work there. The festival is open entry. The fair inside it, Downtown Design, is ticketed, and on 4 November it's for invited guests only.

So plan for the 5th onwards, and keep an afternoon free. The fair closes at 8pm, and at 6pm on the final Sunday.

Fair tickets are AED 80 for one day or AED 150 for four, on downtowndesign.com. Parking in d3 comes with the first two hours included, then AED 20 an hour, and there's valet across the district.

Hours and prices change. Check with the venue before you go.

Dubai Design Week and Downtown Design

The 12th edition fills Dubai Design District with installations, talks and workshops. Downtown Design, the fair, holds invite-only previews on 4 November and is open to all visitors from 5 to 8 November.

How we checked

Every fact here comes from the venue's own website, menu, booking page or Instagram, or from the Michelin Guide and official listings. Nobody paid to be in this guide, and nobody knew we were writing it. If something has changed, write to [email protected] and we'll correct it. How we pick a place →
